Long overdue review after four jars
I've been buying this scent for about a year now so I figured I owed an actual review instead of just quietly reordering. What keeps me coming back is the consistency. I have had jars from at least three different batches and they smell the same, burn the same, and last the same. That is not my experience with the other brands, where you get one great candle and then the next one is somehow weaker. The scent itself is warm without being too sweet. There is whiskey, and tobacco, a touch of sweet to it. It reads masculine but my wife burns it more than I do. One practical note for anyone new to soy: give it a long first burn. Three hours minimum so the melt pool reaches the edge. If you do that, you will never have a tunneling problem with these. Shipping has been quick every time and the packaging has never let me down, including the one that got left in the rain by my carrier.

I don't usually leave reviews but I've bought this scent enough times that I figured I owed one. It opens with clove and orange peel and then settles into this soft black tea underneath that keeps it from ever getting sharp. I burn it from the first cool morning of October all the way through New Year's. What really sold me is the consistency. I've had jars from what has to be three or four different batches now and they all smell identical and burn the same length of time. That's not something I can say about the candles I used to buy at the mall. Give it a good long first burn so the pool reaches the edge and you'll never fight a tunnel. Cannot recommend it enough.
